Several years ago I posted our go-to groceries, but over the years, as we have found some new things, and as my kids get older (and as it turns out, they eat a heck of a lot more food!! 😏), my list has evolved.
So, I took some time to update my list. Click HERE to check it out and to download a copy to keep in your bag to reference when you're at the store! I hope it's helpful for you! XO

Am I right?! After years of trying to figure out what to make for dinner every night, I have developed a meal planning strategy that makes our weeks a heck of a lot easier! Weekends are the best time for me to plan and shop, but you can make this method work for your own schedule! Here's what you do: 1. On a blank sheet of paper, write out the days of the week, starting with your shopping day. Mine is always Sunday! You can also use my handy meal planning printable! 2. Get out your calendar and review the upcoming week. (I'm still a paper calendar kind of gal, but open up Google or Cozi if you are more tech-advanced than I am!) What events do you have going on that might interfere with dinner prep and/or dinner time? Make a note of the busy nights on the corresponding days on your paper.
3. Use your favorite family recipes, cookbooks, your Pinterest page, etc. to plan out your meals for each day of the week. Consider having leftovers on the busy nights, or easy meals, like rotisserie chicken and veggies. Planning ahead helps you to avoid those last-minute trips through the drive thru too! 4. As you plan for each meal, write your grocery list on the same sheet of paper. Be sure to check your fridge and pantry for items you already have on hand! 5. Go to the store and buy everything you need for the week ahead. Your kitchen will be stocked and you won't have to run to the store after work to pick up ingredients, or even worse, to try to figure out what to make for dinner! I hope this method makes your life a little easier too! ENJOY! XO Sometimes our families want to go out to eat, and sometimes we just need life to be easy, darn it... Fortunately, fast food doesn't have to mean unhealthy anymore! There are plenty of options at most restaurants for anyone who wants to keep it on the healthy side.
Check out my Fast Food Cheat Sheet for some healthy options at our favorite spots. Click HERE to download and print a copy! XO Ahhhh summer. 'Tis the season for vacations and road trips! And while I do love a good airport treat and a bag of gummy cherries from the gas station, I know that fueling my body with healthy snacks will ensure that I am feeling great by the time we reach our destination.
I am excited to share some favorite travel snacks that I like to pick up at Trader Joe's before we hit the road. But come on...I do also keep most of this stuff on hand at home too because these snacks are awesome when not traveling as well! Click HERE to view the full list and to download and save it for your upcoming trip. ENJOY! XO Before a new round begins, clients will often reach out to me and ask what groceries they should pick up at the store. While I let them know that there really is nothing they need to do ahead of time to prepare (we cover all of that in the first week!), I keep a list of my go-to groceries that I am always happy to share.
These are the groceries that we generally keep in stock, and then depending on our meal plans for the week, we will add additional ingredients. (I'll save the meal planning post for another day!) I encourage clients to adjust based on their individual needs and tastes. Just because we like almonds doesn't mean everyone does! That's one of the best parts about the FASTer Way to Fat Loss program...you get to eat what you like! I hope this list is helpful for you too. Click HERE for a printable version and reach out with any questions! XO You all, get yourself on Amazon and order an air fryer STAT. This is actually our second one - we used our first so much that it quit working on us!
Click HERE to check out and purchase the air fryer that works well for my family! We cook in the air fryer at least three nights a week. Salmon, chicken, veggies, you name it, you can air fry it. The kids love it when I make homemade fries for them. All you have to do is cut russet potatoes into fry strips, soak in cold water for a few minutes and drain. Toss in a bit of olive oil and air fry until brown and crispy. Dump on a sheet tray and season with salt. If you have to make several batches, continue to add to the sheet pan and when they are all ready, throw back in the air fryer for few minutes to heat them up. Serve with organic ketchup! ENJOY! XO |
